I found my inspiration from all the lovely 1950âs floral swing dresses on the Retro-Stage Pinterest page (which my iPad wonât allow me to link to) in a category titled âThe 1950âs Top Sellers.â It featured a black sleeveless, low cut bodice over a floral swing skirt. I added a tied sash at the waistband.
I stamped and fussy cut the top from black cardstock and the skirt from Washi paper. The skirt has folds, which is difficult to see in the photo.

How Pretty! Is someone getting ready for a special occasion? It certainly appears so. Beautiful dress with a lovely satin bow, and I can see the pleats perfectly~

You definitely captured the glamour of your inspiration dress - this is WOW! Love how you made the dress with its folds, and how you featured it in this card with the red circle!

This is so stunning. The washi paper piecing is gorgeous and the contrast of the bold colors with the black is so striking. Your simple design makes everything classy and elegant. Wonderful card!
