I realize now that my daffodils could certainly have been bigger and I wouldn't have had to paint so much background. That was as hard as painting the flowers. This was another fun challenge and I may paint another one.

Really pretty, Pat, if you drew this, it's amazing....I struggled with background too, probably have 10 shades of green/blue going on. That's why I like the salt, it disguises it...I splattered too.

The perspective of your sketching the daffodils is amazing. Very life like. Great contrast with the leaves and the background. You did an outstanding job with this challenge. Glad you had fun, and joined us this week.

Oh my, this is Gorgeous, Pat! Beautiful daffodils, yummy bg and your leaves can definitely be seen perfectly well! I love how everyone has a different card but all using daffodils~

Pat, your card is beautiful! Love how you did the bg.....and I agree, sometimes the bg is as hard to do as the "main course". But you did both equally as well.

I agree with you! Painting the background was super hard for me which is why I had 3 attempts. I think your flowers are gorgeous! This is a beautiful painting!
