This is my card for Teapot Tuesday to be sent to a fellow teapotter. Our card today was to feature the colour red and it is delightful to see all the red cards in the gallery. Red is a favourite colour of mine and also of my granddaughter. We have often read the book, Red is Best, by Kathy Stinson, together. So I leave with this quote from that book, "I like red paint the best...red paint puts singing in my head." Hope you are all having a "singing in your head" kind of week. Enjoy!

How perfect...I love the idea of a red quilt! The little sewing machine and buttons complete the sewing theme...great card! And thanks for putting a little singing in my head with all the red.

neat to have squares of different reds put down at an angle to make a quilt and adding your sewing machine and buttons is great extra added to your cute card

I've never heard of the book - I will have to look it up. I really like your pieced background combined with the sewing machine - even if I don't need reminding that I have two sewing projects needing my attention!

What vivid patterns you’ve brought, Vicky. Such a striking layout...I, too, love those tiny scissors and ode to the sewing machine...makes me recall my mother’s trusty non electric black Singer. Well done

I do have a "singing in my head" kind of week, thank you, Vicky! I simply LOVE your red patchwork - it is an awesome idea executed perfectly! I also love all the other little details - the buttons (specially the heart one), the pair of scissors, and that sewing machine with bolts of red fabric underneath!
