It's the last Tuesday of the month and time to "tickle a teapotter". Gracie has challenged us to use as much red as possible on our cards today!
I actually started with a totally different concept that just wouldn't gel for me today then started pulling out all my curly / curvy spellbinders dies to see what I could layer to add interest but still let red be the star - so I started with a red field overlaid with 2 pieces of the Garden Weave off set to fill the rectangle as much as possible. This corner die cut is a bear both to cut and adhere but sure has wow power when it works! Next came 2 pieces of the Romantic Vines. They got a bit lost so I cut more in olive offsetting them just a bit. Finished with a triple layered flower enhanced with some white gel pen on the center layer and finished in the center with black glitter.

This is simply fabulous, Linda! I love the red flower that took center stage here - the black glitter and the use of white gel pen to enhance it paid off handsomely! The die-cut bg features the flower perfectly!

How gorgeous! That flower is spectacular, Linda. The little detailing with the white pen is so subtle but so effective. The background die looks worth the trouble, although I know where you're coming from. I have a couple like that - interestingly, a couple cut perfectly in my old Wizard but not in the Big Shot, and vice versa.
