It's that time again...TeaPotter swap. Gracie (JRHolbrook) has challenged us to use Red. I just love how red makes my favorite color ever more wonderful! And so I played with hues of purple and red.
The eggplants were first paper pieced with various Basic Grey classic purple hued patterned DP and embossed with Ranger 'Detail' Clear. I stamped the stems and leaves with several TH DO 'greens'. Then all were fussy cut. I had stamped the original A Stamp in the Hand image in VersaClair 'Morning Mist' as a guide for placing the veggies. I used a tiny heart embossed with 'Crusade' as well as the two tiny blossoms.
My card is oversized to balance the purples. I loved the upcycled netting. It reminded me of some of the hair do~dads my mom would wear on 'cleaning' day.
The Art Impressions sentiment is not only funny, but has special meaning as well as perfect for our little swap. I was blessed to attend the Art Impressions Warehouse sale in the fall of 2019 with a few girls from SCS. For some, it was the first time meeting up in person...we had such fun. Heavenly bodies indeed!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and hanging with me. I am seriously missing in person fellowship...
And thank you Gracie for bringing up the color Red. Passion, Lifeblood, Vibrancy.

Those eggplants are so fabulous...very unique and so creatively constructed! The red and purple combo is wonderfully vivid and a breath of summer on this still winter's day. I love the netting and I can picture Lucy wearing something like that on her cleaning days. LOVE
Susan, your card got me chuckling today! I love the different eggplants and how you paper-pieced them - it emphasizes how different we all are, but all are beautiful! That upcycled netting is genius - love it!

I believe I am the 2nd one in from the left and you are center stage, dear Neighbor. Thanks for the memory and sweet compliment. Our weather is improving and Artzadoni Studio can accomodate us playing outside! Maybe a summertime reunion and with all of us focusing on AI goods as our challenge theme.

Your purples and red go smashingly together! I love all the embellishing you did on those heavenly bodies and that you completed the card with purple netting. (I never wore netting to clean, but I remember using something like that to make “squishers,” as we called them, that we used for washing dishes and bathing. Fond memories...)
