Card for Teapot Tuesday Challenge - use LOTS of red!
I cut two layers of the panel die in white and glued them together for durability, then glued a shimmery panel of vellum behind it before attaching to the card. Sentiment raised with foam strip. I cut out and attached one Sakura flower from the Washi paper and attached it to the corner of the sentiment strip.

just lovely! The scale of the print plays so well with that beautiful dogwood die cut. Nice touch with cutting one blossom. This pops the gallery today.

Gorgeous washi paper (looks like silk from a wedding kimono to me) The vellum under pinning works well to let some color through with out distracting from the pretty die cut flower.

Such beautiful paper. I'm trying to make myself use up some of the ones I bought in a Japanese shop in Paris. It's a lovely pairing with that beautiful die-cut, the stitched edging, the vellum for softness and that little popped-out flower on the sentiment.
