I'm late for a very important date. Caring for my disabled husband keeps me busy; my time is not always my own for stamping. However I wanted to participate in the teaparty for Anita's Aunt & Uncle. Even though my card won't reach them in time, I hope it can still add to their anniversary joy & celebration.
Teapotters Challenge - A perfect pair: use a pair of something to make a 50th wedding anniversary card for Anita's Aunt and Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary: swans and corners
Free 4 All - Colors of Water: blue chalk under & around the swans.
Since this will be mailed internationally, I wanted to keep it light, elegant and easy to mail. I used a pair of swans. The image and sentiment are heat embossed in gold for the special golden anniversary. I thought it needed something more; the Free 4 All challenge inspired me to add some blue chalk as water for the swans. After applying the chalk, I used Wink of Stella over the blue, so the water is just glistening which is so pretty with the shine of the heat embossing. At the top, I used a pair of punched corners. I inlaid the pieces back in soft colors for a little interest and subtle color. The panel was layered on a lightweight metallic card base. I'm sorry the photo is terrible; I so need a new camera. TFL

Oh Diane, this is just gorgeous. Great idea to emboss the swans in gold. And swimming in the water too, just makes for a wonderful scene. Love how you used the trio punch for your corner accents. Perfect sentiment for the couple as well!

Your card is very elegant indeed. Those swans are gorgeous, especially embossed in gold, and the touch of chalk for water is perfect. Love the sentiment too. I am sure they will love this and it will extend their party when it arrives.

This card is beautiful! I love those gold-embossed swans against the softly chalked water and Stickles - very nice effect! I’ve never seen that sentiment stamp before but it’s perfect!!
