Polly challenged us to make a card that would help us to think of our favorite place to get away from the stress of the past year as well as the recent rough weather. One of my very favorite stress relievers and mood-lifters is to go to my crafting area and make a card for someone. This card was especially fun because it is a 20th birthday card for Charlie the horse. Cindybstampin requested cards for this very special horse and you can read all about it here:
My horse and sentiment are clipart images. I fussy cut the sentiment image and covered with Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. I die cut a rustic diamond pattern on the panel that I had stamped with the hardwood stamp. On the inside of the card is a panel printed with another clipart horse image - the sentiment is computer generated. Also pictured is a sticker I made to add to the back of the envelope.

Ha. That, about your crafting area, was exactly my first thought when I saw Polly's challenge because I feel I've had practically no stamping time for the last two weeks. Your openwork woodgrain panel is fab.

Your card has to be a first...a birthday card for a horse! WOW. You found the perfect image and really made this such a fun card for Charlie and his care takers. The inside is amazing, too! I'm not surprised that your stamping area is your favorite place....it lifts us all up...sometimes it takes a bit of effort to get there but once we are it sure is a happy place.
