Today I'm CASEing the wonderful Laura Bassen. Let me tell you, that girl has talent! She makes it all look so easy, but I found that the process to be more than a little challenging.
I made the following changes for my card:
- changed shape/size from A2 to 4.25" square
- chose textured card stock over non-textured
- added mat and stitched frame around the focal
- didn't pop up my striped triangles (but did pop up the sentiment)
- changed occasion to birthday
I need to build up my stash of birthday cards and thought the rainbow colors felt celebratory.
While the technique proved to be more challenging than I expected, I do love how the card turned out, even with its obvious (to me) imperfections. And it is a great card for using up some of your paper scraps.
