Challenged to use our oldest stamps in a new way resulted in using this All Night Media set of 36 fruit and veggie foam mounted stamps. The old plastic packaging is very brittle and yellowed but still has the 50% off sticker price of $6.95. There's no date but it says the company was in San Rafael, CA. That's no longer the case as Plaid got into the act in 1992. I ALSO managed to sneak in a teeny flower stamp that was carved on the end of a pencil. That set of 6 (I only now have 3) were sold at a summer craft show back in the 70's. I thought they was so clever. The eraser stamp is all dried up as pencil erasers tend to do over time, but I got it to work. The new part is wreath stamping, though I did it the old fashioned eye-ball-it way. I popped up the orange sentiment on foam for dimension. This is also a very old sentiment from a batch of weird sayings I got on eBay when I first started collecting around 2004. I think I'll put "Stay Strong" as the inside sentiment.

Your wreath is beautiful! I love all of the fruit in it! I might have to go see what fruit I have in the refrigerator now. I have a large stamp I carved on a lino block way back in high school. Forgot about it until you mentioned the eraser stamp.

LOL at the sentiment combined with all that lovely tasty looking fruit. Gosh, you're making me long for a smoothie. I was going to guess that it was Rubber Stamp Tapestry.

And what great eyeballing you did Lori. I loved reading your description and how cool to have a carved stamp on a pencil. Love the sentiment. Such a fun card. TFS. Happy day

Oh, neighbor...I just knew you’d have the oldest and most unusual oldest stamp! I love you brought in a modern element with the circle. Having shared your to dream for art studio many times...it is a museum, totally! Love it.
