"Use your oldest stamp" is always a tough challenge for me, because I know I have older stamps than this, but they're all newer to me. I've either had friends give them to me or I've bought them used on ebay. So I don't really know what my oldest stamp is, but I do know which stamp I've had for the longest time. I bought this Inkadinkado "Flourish Flowers" stamp ten years ago when I got married. I didn't want to mail boring envelopes, so I stamped my orange envelopes with pink ink. Today, I did an emboss resist background in bright yellow to go with my light up light bulb. How's that for modernizing my old stamp? But I forgot to light up the bulb for my photo. It's so cute! And I already sent my electrician away with this card. My kitchen is getting remodeled and I had this great idea to make a card for my electrician to give to his wife for Valentine's Day. He loved it.

What a lovely story behind your first stamp purchase, Jen. It makes a gorgeous background, rather like a fabric print. I wouldn't mind bright, sunny curtains like that in the kitchen.

Beautiful background and love the light bulb too, but what I love the most is your story and sure the electrician must be glad to give his wife this card!!
