I made this card for Kristin- who is a neighbor. She had to have surgery for Melanoma in her eye- she lost her eye. It will be a huge adjustment for her. I have watched her group up and hope she can adjust to her new 'reality' without too much difficulty!
I do not have any of the colors listed today, so did my best to create with what I had from the picture. I used the TLC challenge for the background.

The colors you chose look beautiful as a bg for that gorgeous image and verse. I hope Kristin recovers quickly and adjusts well too. Thanks for bringing her to the Tea Party and for creating such a beautiful and inspiring card for her.

Beautiful card and sentiment. My aunt lost an eye and when blindness threatened the 2nd eye years later, she blindfolded herself for 2 weeks in order to learn to navigate her surroundings. She never lost the sight in her 2nd eye but I was always so impressed by what can be accomplished with determination and a positive attitude. Wishing your friend well.

Wow, you rolled all three challenges into one terrific card, Shelly! I love this scripture from Psalm91. Goes perfectly with this beautiful image.

How beautiful, Shelly. The colours are lovely for the background - and for the birds. Fantastic colouring. I can't imagine adjusting, but I suppose people just do. DH's friend who lost one eye in an accident, I know that in church he always sits strategically so that he can see people coming in on his good side.

Oh, my, Shelly! What a gorgeous card for Kristin! The rich, deep tones are exquisite and what a perfect image for this wonderful scripture! I pray for Kristin daily and hope she gains strength and confidence each and every day!
