I think it was the delicate blue against the browns that I loved so much. I actually made two versions of this card with a brown background and a speckled egg DOX moth. Unfortunately, the moth is just too small to carry the card and I will need to do something to "beef" things up or repurpose in some other way. Isn't it always the way that you never have the "just right" stamp/die/ink color. It's too big, it's too small, it's too formal, it's too cute; it's just too too too. LOL.
But the blue bg turned out well. I added a couple drops of Tumbled Glass reinker to gesso and smeared it in streaks across the card stock. After it dried, I dragged the pad over the top to add a little more texture. The butterfly needed "something" (I learned my lesson on the brown card); so, I ink blended a piece of white scrap with Tumbled Glass and die cut the flourish. The moth is stamped onto a piece of cream scrap. I inked another scrap direct-to-paper with the same brown ink and cut the love die cut.
I could get lost for hours in the photos and color swatches at this weeks site. I hope you find something that transports you as well. TFL
edit: Hmmmmm, on the screen the butterfly looks gray, but it cream and brown in real life. You'll just have to trust me on that.

It's beautiful, Debbie. I love blue and brown colors together and the cream butterfly is gorgeous. Be so happy when I see some butterflies outside again. Love your pretty flourish, too.
