The Challenge this week is to make a card for Cheryl - a member of the Splitcoast Tribe.
I have had a couple of these stamps now for some years - look at them frequently and then look again at all the lovely detail in them. This was the perfect challenge to use one of them in. I decided on this lovely turtle. Stamped it and embossed it and then coloured it with water colour pencils and paints. Took a while and was very fussy with all the tiny detail - but I did enjoy it so much that I am thinking of getting a couple more images.
The background was made using Distress inks - on a craft mat - spritzed with water and then using an acrylic block to pick up the colours and smooch them around. Once the card was dry I embossed it with a Stamping Up embossing folder.
The photo doesn't really show the beautiful aqua colours - and in real life it is so much prettier with lot of aqua - but my computer is missing the "aqua" colour range! Most annoying.
I hope Cheryl will enjoy this beautifully detailed image.
Hope you enjoy.

That image is stunning and BRAVO on your coloring all those little details. I am super impressed. The bg looks like a beautiful sea for him to swim -- even with the "aqua range" missing from your computer. This is simply beautiful.

What an amazing image that is Helen! Your attention to detail and hand eye coordination is remarkable. The colouring is terrific. I love that background. It looks like the waving fronds of a barrier reef. Beautiful!
