This card was made for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #406 (https://atlanticheartschallenge.blog...etch-406.html). The overall theme for the sketch appeared to be Valentines Day, so I decided to make it appropriate for my tom boy grand-daughter using dinosaurs.
The key element I used for this card was the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Dinoroar" Designer Series Paper that had not only big dinosaurs (like the one I used with his hands stretched wide and a happy smile), but also pattern paper with smaller ones in a pink jungle.
I used my digital cutting machine to scan and cut out the cute yellow dinosaur (with a 0.04" margin), and then punched a heart out that I covered with the liquid Glossy Accents to make it stand out. When dry, I glued the shiny heard to the dinosaur's chest.
I punched the tag required in the sketch, with a tag punch, then die cut a dotted rectangle that I stamped with the sentiment from the 2002 SU "Mini Mates" set.
The main card panel is matted with the same color as the tag, then glued to a gold colored card base to match the dinosaur's body color. The final step was to tie a bow and attach with a Mini Glue Dot.
The entire tag was backed with foam strips and attached to the card front.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". I used a digital cutting machine to cut out the dinosaur, but SU also sells dies to match.
