This card took a dark turn. I didn't mean to make such a dark purple Easter card, but it just happened. It started out with a nice light pink piece of cardstock and I stamped little gumdrops all over it, but they just looked like lame little blobs, so I decided to add some acrylic paint and texture paste (for the hearts!). But I couldn't find pink paint and ended up with this dark purple (also threw in some glitter paint). I had searched Evernote for hugs and found this adorable Sassy Cheryl image. Can you believe I've already started on Easter cards? Who am I?

I like the dark purple a lot - very nice, and very mixed media. I stamped what is going to be an Easter card today myself, best thing I could think of for an image with chickens that I want to use.

This turned out great! The purple really sets off the white bunny and hearts! I like making a few cards for future holidays here and there so I am not rushed at the last minute! It's just hard sometimes to get in the right mood, like making a Halloween card in July!

Jen, you're killing me with that stencil...LOL. But it's so perfect with your cute images I can't really blame you for pulling it out so often. I wouldn't have thought dark purple for an Easter card either, but, as Faith said, it really sets off the whites in your image and hearts. Adorably fun card.
