I really liked how the Valentine with the Northern Lights worked out for my grandson, so I decided to make something similar for the 13 yr old grandson.
Made the Northern Lights panels with watercolor pencils but this time I dry embossed the heart die instead of cutting it out. Changed the sentiment panel to span the card and added some hearts cut from the same die.
I think I like the cut-out panel of the other card a bit more, but I am happy with this and happy that I could make them something similar but still different.

You have made so many wonderful cards and had great ideas with the Northern Lights challenge. This is super how you used those watercolor pencils to make a beautiful show of light. Love the sentiment panel, too, along with the dangling hearts. Awesome valentine.

Debbie, love this design and coloring is outstanding instead of RED!!! You are so darn clever. Your northern lights coloring is perfect with the black. Awesome card!

I really like this version too! I like the falling hearts! I don't think I have a favorite, I think they are both beautiful! I think this is such a fun color combo for a valentine for boys!
