January is the month for goal setting (challenges, I call them), right? So one of my challenges (continued from 2020) is to use it or lose it. Another is to pull things out of my card parts box and actually make a card or get rid of the problematic card part.
This card is a two-fer as it meets both goals. I just sold this cover plate die as it has just been a challenge to me in the couple of years I've owned it. As I was getting it ready to send out, I realized I still had 2 cut dies in the pocket with the die. So I decided I would keep them and make them into finished cards.
For this one, I mounted the gold negative die cut on some dark blue SU card stock. I then dug through my die cut scraps from when I last played with this die and inlaid one of the HAPPY and one of the BIRTHDAY words. Layered onto a Bazzill diamond bling panel and called it done.
