Right now you are probably thinking how is this a Northern Lights Scene. Well this was the first panel I made for the challenge, but it was ultimately too small for the design I wanted so I set it aside with no idea what I would do with it.
Today, I was trying to come up with a Valentine idea for my 14 yr old grandson, I think he might be tired of red hearts with cute animals. So, I grabbed this panel and die cut it. I colored a scrap of wc paper with the same but lighter colors for the sentiment, which is popped up with foam. I had to cover some of the larger "snowflakes" with the sentiment because they looked more flakey than flakes, but overall I'm petty pleased with the outcome.
So, if like me you have some extra bg panels of bright northern lights, you don't have to create a scene. They also make beautiful backgrounds for many other types of cards. TFL. Hope your day is filled with beauty and light too.

Debbie, this is a fabulous idea for your grandson and a way to use the Northern Lights, too. I love your panel of hearts and even the sentiment has the Northern Lights. Very creative and now a card for your grandson. Good work!!!

This makes a really super masculine valentine and something sure to please a 14 year old - Grown up enough yet special to get a "loving" card from his Grandma! You got a beautiful blend of colors on this panel.
