Yes, I have coffee stamps and yes, I could have done that. But, just yesterday, I was playing with about five empty teabags that I had dried and I made a flower from them. This is my favorite way to have a flower on a card: huge focal point, simple background. I trimmed the seams off, made some cuts on the edges to add texture, glued them together and added the micro beads. Why haven't I had micro beads before???????? I love them!
The background was a coffee painting I did years ago, just a wash of strong coffee on wc paper. I used a leaf stencil over it. The stem and leaves were cut from the background I did last last week for the CC.

LOL, what a fun quote. And microbeads are great, especially for flower centres, or as an extra on a sandy sea bed. Susan has a great way with them in all sorts of colours but I only have gold and sort of translucent. (It's possible to colour them by putting them in a tiny baggy with some alcohol ink!). Your teabag makes a fabulous flower. It reminds me of way, way back when I was maybe eight or so getting a kit to make some fancy tissue and crepe paper flowers. All the texture in the centre of it is wonderful - and it will mail well too!

Strikingly caffeinated card! Love the depth of your elements...the teabag flower is fantastic as are those micro bead centers. Fun that, last weeks bg has also become leaves and stem....love that color combination. I love your wild abandon, bfnm! It is an Uber kool card!

My kind of flower yet I've never thought of this! Totally fav'd. I've an unmarked stamp that reads, "In the garden of life, you are the rarest of flowers" So true for you.

Wow great recycling from your teabags, I love the flower's stem too, you are right the flower doesn't need a busy background, and me too love the sentiment!!
