This card is for three challenges: CC-daffodil delight, smoky slate, basic gray; today's sketch; Monday's CAS-add a bug. An insect can be a bug but a bug can't be an insect...totally different construction. But in general, it's fine to use them interchangeably, vocabulary-wise.
I love yellow with grays. First I brayered the cardstock with the basic gray and gray granite (gray granite is more brown than I realized), then I stenciled over that with the smoky slate. I love the words on the stencil. I cut the oval out of a dotted vellum and added my daffodils and a ribbon butterfly (for the CAS). I thought it was funny that ribbon would again be the dessert but butterflies move and daffodils sway in the breeze. This worked for the sketch after I added some glitter pen to create the illusion of the center pieces. I thought the words acted as the cross pieces also. I used the mossy meadow to paint some leaves and cut them out. Daffodils were fussy cut. I edged the whole card with Versamark and some yellow ep.

Love your color combo's- beautifully executed. Really love your ribbon made butterfly- how cool is that! A pretty touch to add EP around the edge of your card!

Wow I love how you made your bug with the wire. I cut down some flowers with wire yesterday and was about to toss the remaining wire into the bin but saved it. Now I know what I can do with it. That ribbon is beautiful. You are so creative. Awesome card. TFS. Happy day
