This card was made with the Stampin' Up! (SU) new bundle called "Friends Are Like Seashells". This bundle has a stamp set of beautiful seashells, a matching die set, and in addition I got the matching embossing folder.
To really bring out the beauty in these tools, I used Recollections pearlescent paper in cream and tan. The seafloor background was created using the faux letterpress technique where you ink up one side of the embossing folder (I used SU Pear Pizzazz) before embossing your pearlescent paper.
The seashells were created by first die cutting the entire seashell montage, then stamping each inked with a peach, lavender, tan and yellow color. I then used paper snips to cut the shells out of the montage so I could place them individually on the front of the card, I back the peach and lavender shells with foam strips, then glued the rest of the shells beneath them directly onto the card front.
The seaweed leafs that were left over after cutting out the shells were colored with two shades of green using a blending brush.
Finally, sequins were attached to the card front with glue dots to simulate bubbles rising from the seafloor.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "3" out of a possible "5", but if your are familiar with inking up embossing folders and die cutting, the difficulty is only a "2".
