I made this card for the Tuesday Teapot challenge: "To the Orient" requested by Roberta for a gentleman who's lost both his mother and wife to Covid in December. If you have time to make a card, it would be wonderful to shower him with lots of cards.
This card also works for today's Ways to Use It challenge: Snip & Cut, since I fussy cut around the cranes.
Thanks Pat for pointing out by turning the sketch this week sideways, my card would work for that challenge too: SC837.
I went through my oriental papers and found 2 pieces of cardstock and 2 pieces of vellum that I thought would work well together for a card for a man. I stamped and heat embossed my 3 cranes on the vellum piece with Chinese characters. Then, I fussy cut out around the cranes on the left side of the vellum piece. I layered all my pieces onto my 5" x 7" card and added piece of gold net-type ribbon on the left.

Gracie I agree with the other ladies, this is so calming and peaceful and perfect as a sympathy card. Love how you put all the orient elements together and it reminds me of our travels with the cranes. I love that you fussy cut them and perfect for the WTUI challenge too so lovely to see you today. TFS. Happy day and hugs

I agree with the others that this a beautiful and peaceful scene that makes a wonderful sympathy card. The papers you chose are beautiful together and the cranes are fabulous. I agree with Sabrina that cutting the edge does add to the sense of movement and that that ribbon is fantastic. A beautiful and graceful card for Paul.
