CAS Challenge hosted by Julie to stock your stash with a card type that you need. I use a lot of birthday cards, mostly for women. I saw this video by Patty Bennett which inspired me to make several of these cards.
Patty stamped the three-step flower and the stem on DSP. She used the non-patterned, color variegating side from the Oh So Ombre paper pack. By stamping on colored paper, it gives another shade of color to the image. Then, Patty used the patterned side for a layered strip. Love her idea!
The three layers of my flower were inked with stamped off Rococo Rose, then full-strength Rococo Rose and the flower center is Cherry Cobber. Changes: I used a wider strip of DSP, different sentiment, glued down flat, applied Wink of Stella and used black rhinestone jewels.
Thanks for looking. A big thanks to Patty for sharing her technique!
