Barbara picked some wonderful colors for this week's challenge. I only wish I had done a bit better job with them.
I had just received this stamp set and all I could think of were rust colored chickens with green heads and tail feathers. My balloon would be white - how perfect would that be?
I should have done my tried and true method of doing a very quick coloring of the image to lay out the colors first. But there were only two colors plus white - what could go wrong? I really wish I had made the chicken white with the Cajun Craze head and (maybe) tail feathers with a green balloon. There is something a little bit off in this card to me.
I do really like the layout and I probably will try it with a white chicken. I think that will be so much better!
I almost didn't get dessert in but at the last minute I found this very narrow ribbon. I channeled my inner Karen and made a bow. Not nearly as nice as hers but I am proud I could make one that itty bitty.
I hope you will find time to join us this week!

I love this chicken! She is adorable with her Cajun feathers and glowing Clover head! Congrats on the teeny bow--a perfect finishing touch! Love this card!

You're goofy Jeanne... there's nothing wrong with your chick-a-dee hen! She's wonderfully colored as usual! I love how you can make a white balloon look so awesome on a white background, totally amazing! TFS

Jeanne, you did a wonderful job with the challenge colors! (I had some trouble with them lol.) You colored the chicken perfectly. No need to second guess. Love the green ribbon.

I really like the colors you chose for your chicken .... and I was so glad to see that you used the Stitched with Whimsey dies. Those are at the top of my list for my next cattie order!
