This is my sample for CC827. Barbara is our hostess and she chose call me clover, cajun craze and whisper white for her color trio. Dessert Option is ribbon.
I have to admit this color combo had me stumped because with the cajun my mind kept going to Fall. And, I didn't want to create that type of card. Then my teamie, Karen, gave me the idea of a nature theme. And, voila I thought of a cactus.
Since I am in Valentine mode I was determined to make a card with these non-traditional colors. With the help of my punny sentiment I was able to pull it off. The sentiment is from the MFT stamp set "let's stick together".
My crumb cake background paper is from the Stampin'-Up "all is bright" collection. It's a neutral so I am good there.
The cactus images are a die from Cottage Cutz. For the blooms on the cactuses, I used the light cajun craze blend (alcohol marker). I like how they turned out.
That's my card. Hope you can play along with us this week.

The cactus die cuts are perfect, which you always seem to have the perfect die cuts. And the colors are perfect as well. Just sayin' this is the perfect card.

Mary, great minds think alike... just what you wanted hear from an airhead! Lol! I love your Valentine and it fits the challenge to a tee! The multi-rectangle frame worked great for all your sweet sentiments! TFS
