I made a bubble bg for this using reinkers mixed with dish soap. You mix it well and blow bubbles and cover your paper with the colored bubbles...fun. I pulled out this stamp I carved a few years ago (haven't done any carving lately...maybe I should get that stuff out)..and added a word cut from a stenciled bg that I didn't use. I figure this could work for several occasions...thinking of you, hello, birthday, get well...

Well, call me impressed with your hand carved bird, Polly! And I've never heard of this background technique, but it sure made a gorgeous backdrop for the black bird.
