I am using the Mix challenge in conjunction with a January Christmas card challenge. My Cardinal is perched on a branch by the barn. My faux Woodgrain with the paint and glue turned out nice but the glue part would never dry to where it was not really sticky. So I decided to just add some embossing powder to those sticky parts. I love how it turned out. I may do it again. Also using this for the Alphabet letter H.

This is awesome Pat. I love the faux wood grain BG you created. Another technique to add to my very long list. I can’t keep up and don’t know how you alpha ladies do it. TFS. Happy day

I remember I went through about three different glues trying to find one that would work well with the faux barnboard - and of course now I can't remember which one did end up working. You got a lovely effect anyway, Pat - a super weathered look.
