Fun challenge today. I find that when I go monochrome, I tend towards aqua because that is what color my craft supplies are. I wanted to make a mixed media background and I had so much fun with that layered gesso background TLC a few weeks ago--even though I don't own any gesso. I grabbed a background from my drawer. You can't see it anymore, but it was a neat bubble background stamped in blue/green that I stamped at Anne's house. Then I stamped some Verve lilies around it too. Next, I spread acrylic and glitter paint over the paper and let it dry. Last step was to apply Nuvo Glimmer Paste through this fab Gina Marie stencil. This background is so sparkly and fabulous! To keep the background the focal point, I just stamped this lily bouquet and left it uncolored. My friend asked for a birthday card for her daughter, Lily, and I just couldn't help myself.
