Today's lesson / challenge was how to paint loose abstract watercolor florals. I watched the video by Emma Lefebrve 4 maybe 5 times - and tried several sample pieces to get the feel of this type of flower since I don't think I've ever actually seen an anemone IRL. What I am realizing is that humidity plays a big part in a lot of these techniques and working in 15% humidity means no matter how much water I put on it dries almost instantly so I struggle to get the blend and flow that I see on so many of your cards . . . Guess that's why I have a "unique" look to my pieces - I have to remember to bring some supplies with me if I ever travel to a more humid area of the country.

Lovely take on this technique, Linda. The layers you created draws the eye right to them. They are really pleasing to view. Interesting concept with the moisture and humidity. You created soft and billowy blooms. Glad you came and played. Now I have to try getting your card in the gallery. TFS

I love it, Linda. The purples and green greens look awesome together and I really like your stems, also. Thanks for joining us again.

You certainly do have a certain precise, neat and clean look to your watercolor—abstract or not. And I love your signature style. You got some really great depth and richness in the variation of color. The colors are so pretty and as always you’ve chosen the perfect sentiment to pair with it! Another WCW in the books!

Wow, Linda! You got great shading on your purple flowers! The BG is really nice with them. I live in a humid climate but when the heat is on in the house, then it is hard to keep the water there long enough to get the blends like we want! We will just have to keep practicing! It's fun anyway!

Wow! These are gorgeous! I like the style that your 15% humidity gives you! I wonder what it would be like to live in 15%! I have lived in the south most of my life. I have difficulty with certain techniques drying! Well, your card is beautiful!
