I was keen to try out Dina's Kaleidoscope Squares tutorial from the Inkling last week. I find I don't have very many suitable single stamps. I started out by trying to combine it with MariLynn's MIX challenge last week which involved using a whole set of stamps - but about the same time that I got an inky smudge on one of my squares after stamping the fourth image, I realised that I wasn't creating a mixed media background either. So over the weekend I looked through my larger stamps and thought this one might work. I used Polychromos pencils to colour it, and dry-embossed a frame in the base. I still remember the fascination of the first kaleidoscope I ever got, in a Christmas stocking. And we had one my dad made, with dried flowers in it. At some stage I got DH one which has a long tube full of some sort of thick liquid gel and lots of little sprinkle things - stars and so on; the tube passes through a hole in the body of the kaleidoscope and you just gently tilt it to change the point of view.

I love your card, and always loved a kaleidoscope in my stocking at Christmas. They are so much fun! You did a great job on your card with all the pretty colors of flowers! TFS, Sabrina
