I survived another Watercolor Wednesday! I've figured out how to cheat my way through them using my Spectrum Aqua markers. I watched the video and drew my mug and then I outlined the whole mug in Bud Green marker and moved the color around using my wet brush. I had to choose my second favorite color for my mug, since Kia already took orange. I drew in the shadow on the mug with Moss Green and the shadow on the straw with Slate. Then I scribbled Slate onto my work surface and watercolored the shadows on the marshmallow from that. Did the same thing with Chocolate for the hot chocolate. Lastly I drew in the blue stripes on the straw with Peacock Blue. Then I combined all the colors together on my palette to make a grounding shadow wash underneath the mug. As always, I made two of these. This is my good one. The other one is a bit wonky. I couldn't let the wonky one stand on its own. It needed a whimsical little creature to make it more presentable. So I stamped and cut this cute little Waffle Flower mouse to share my cocoa with. Popped him up with foam squares and added Wink of Stella to the cocoa and marshmallows.

Good job, neighbor and fellow WCW participant. That florescent yellow green is certainly attention grabbing! Love the sentiment and totally forgot I have that one too, when I was searching for something. I like the soft shadows you got on those marshmallows and appreciate how complicated a simple shadow can be.

Wow! Your cup looks beautifully glazed! That is the kind of cup I like to drink from! It's so fun to see this bright cup in the gallery and I love your little guy enjoying his mug of cocoa too!

I'm so glad Kia used your orange! Because I love this green and I love it even more with the blue! Glad your cute little mouse got to come to the party! Your markers look great here, but I think you don't give yourself enough credit, they don't paint themselves! Great card!
