This was offered as guidance. I decided to do a white mug rather than a colored one and make it into a Christmas card for next year's stash. I also did straight sides on the mug...much less room for error and better perspective.

I agree with Anita. You should make some videos. We'd be BIG fans. If you are like me, you probably don't want to invest in the technology tools it might take and the stress it would add when all I want to do is create. I do appreciate those whose forte is in the video skills, because I have learned a lot from them. This piece of watercolor is so pretty, Sallie.

Wow! I would think white would be extra challenging but you are most definitely up for the challenge! So very beautiful! Your candy cane looks yummy and I like the greenery you added!

Beautifully done, Sallie. Thanks for the tip on your straight lines to keep the mug in perspective. We all have fun with these challenges because we are learning from each other. Thanks for joining the challenge this week.

A beautiful cup of hot chocolate, Sallie. I really like it in white and like the pine needles beside it.

Beautiful done in all neutral tones. ( and really smart to start on next year's Christmas stash!) That tiny bit of pine really adds to the ambience of scene and let's us know the festivities are beginning soon.

Sallie, this is another impressive watercolor. You are a master and I love your work. I love the cup of hot chocolate and the pine sprig was an excellent idea a Christmas treat. A treat - just what your card is.
