This was a really simple card, but it sure does pack a punch, doesn't it? It's certainly not very me, but I'm really happy with it. I have done Faux Cloisonne before because I have been trying all the technique challenges from the beginning. This was TLC48. I was a bit stumped about what stamp to use for it. The natural inclination is butterflies, but I did that last time. I LOVE the fish and seahorse that Sabrina used, but I wanted to do my own thing. Well, I needed another card for my old coworker, Tom, who is just getting home from the hospital after having major complications from Covid. My friend needed one to send too. I had this sentiment in mind, so I went looking for a good stamp to coordinate with it and also work well for the technique. Isn't this dove so perfect? And to think I've never used it before and wasn't sure how I ever would. But I kept it--just in case. Instead of using a magazine, I grabbed an old notecard out of my bin of store bought cards for upcycling. This one is covered with butterflies. Couldn't get away from the butterflies after all. The inside of the notecard was a very light blue and faintly covered in butterflies. So I used that as the background. Printed the sentiment on and then stamped a music background for a little added interest. A fun cardmaking adventure this morning.

The dove is fantastic with this technique. Thanks for the inspiration, as I have that stamp and usually just leave it white. The rich cours are gorgeous. I had seen your butterfly when I was taking a look over the gallery. And I spotted the faint butterflies in the background here, a lovely look with the music.

That dove worked so well for this technique! I tried a more detailed stamp and it was too much but this is perfect! This is a simple card in terms of supplies, etc but man it really makes am impression!

You should be more than happy with this beauty; it's stunning. That dove works perfectly for the technique and really has a presence on the page. The bg is great and that verse is so inspiring. I LOVE this. I might have to buy that stamp just to CASE this card. Wow!

OMG I have this image and totally love how you used it. That bible verse is my all time favorite. It is the only one I know in both english and spanish. Gorgeous card Miss Jen!
