This is for today's F4A and yesterday's WT. A hopeful poem by Lord Tennyson and ringing in the New Year. I painted the metallic wc 'rings' on black and printed out the poem. A little doodling with dots and rings finishes it off.
I thought 'ring in the true' was an interesting line. Nowadays we tend to think that 'truth' and 'fact' mean the same thing and that isn't so. Truth is always affected by our opinion and fact is much more clear cut.
My words for 2021 are 'art=hope.'

This is gorgeous! I love your rings! So very beautiful! What really struck me about the poem is how timely that sentiment is. It's pretty difficult right now to know what is true and what is false but I sure would like to ring out the false! Fabulous card!

What a challenging and inspirational card, Jean. The metallic paints look super on the black. That's something I was hoping to have time to try over the holidays and never got there. I'd say we're all happy to let 2020 go! I shall have to go and find the rest of your poem, now...

I agree we try to influence truth, but really Truth is Truth, no matter how we try to color it. I love your iridescent rings and doodling using the black base! I love the line in this poem that says "the year is going, let him go".
