Jeanne has chosen some lovely colors this week. There are so many possibilities with the mix of Blushing Bride, Pool Party Smoky Slate along with some shimmer, shine or sparkle for dessert.
So many possibilities but decided to head down this road doing my version of a idea that I think originated with another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Joan Morris. I used an exacto knife to make slits on the sitting donkey's mouth so he could be tugging the shiny new 2021 in as the kicking/dancing donkey kicks out 2020. It was easier to use Pool Party as my main layer and add a little white for clouds than my first attempt adding blue to a white main layer.
I hope you can play with us this week and ...
have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Chris, you've literally kicked it out of the park on this creation! If I were voting this week, I'd stop in my tracks and call this my favorite, teehee! You did an outstanding job of designing and using these adorable lil' donkey's. TFS

What a great idea for your donkey! Love the design and idea behind it. Kicking out the 2020, I think we are ready to get rid of and hope for a new 2021 New year. Love the added stars!

Such a cute and clever card, Chris. I'd like to join the donkeys and give 2020 a kick in the... lol. Love how you used the challenge colors - especially how you used foil to add some shine.

Chris,
How funny that we both had similar ideas for this challenge. Great minds....This is a fantastic card. I especially like the 2021 Donkey.
