Today's TLC challenge is to try the faux heat embossing technique which gave my die cut words fabulous shine (that, unfortunately, doesn't show up in the photo). My daughters think I should do this technique more often!
This is also my card for the Alphabet Challenge letter I for island theme. I was stuck with this theme, then I started seeing these cards with the layered half circles. The cards I saw usually had both halves of the circles arranged like these are so both layers were the same. I began to wonder how that would look with the upper circles sand/ground/green for the island and the lower circles various blues for the water. Here is the result.
I cut and layered my circles, arranged directly on the card base. Then I saw the TLC challenge and decided to use it for my birthday sentiment. It is adhered to a piece of Crumb Cake. To complete my island theme, I colored with markers directly on my palm trees and stamped them down. I thought about softly sponging yellow around the top part but decided to call it done.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking.

Catherine love this. So creative. I’ve not come across the circle layer cards. TFS. Happy day
