Today is my friend's birthday. Every year I make something for her with her favorite colors, black and gold. Recently on Pinterest I discovered an easel combination calendar/Post-It dispenser.
I made a base similar to the one in this Splitcoaststampers tutorial:
Next time I make this I'll lower the back of the Post-It box to make more room for decoration. I had planned to do a monogram for her, but wound up with these tiny butterflies.

You are a great friend. This is a sweet little treasure to remind her how cared for she is throughout the year. Beautiful colour combo. Your friend has great taste! I recently pinned gold evergreen trees embossed onto a black background. It really is a striking combo.
