I made this cute card for my niece's graduation. Her school mascot is a bulldog. I printed a copy of the mascot about the size i wanted on the card to use as a template. I have a lot of punches and trial and error, figured out how to make the head out of cardstock. I then punched a 2" circle for the body (blue 2" and marigold is ~1 3/4") and attached them with dimensionals. I actually thought it looked better with most of the marigold paper being offset with blue behind it. So I ended up cutting the dog twice, once with marigold and again, with a slightly larger version in blue.
Select an emboss folder and emboss the front of card. I used red cardstock and Swirls and Curls EF.
I took the card itself and punched a circle through the front right side (2 1/4" circle) You need to eyeball where you think it needs to be placed on the card. I dimensionaled the head onto the front of the card while centering the body in the center of the card's circle opening. The paw circles are around 3/4".
Open the card. In the center of the body I added a Wobbles spring. If you don't have one, you can make one with some wire. The spring is between the front side of the body and the back side of the body. You can get the Wobbles on Amazon.
On top of the spring (on the inside) I added another circle the same size as the body. Make sure you center it right behind the front circle. Two smaller circles for paws along with little hearts for paw pads. Finally a tail.
When the card is opened, there is an adorable little spring action wobble.
Decorate as you like. I made the graduation cap from a diamond shaped piece of black and added a little brim to fit the head. The tassel is some gold floss I had leftover from my cross stitching days. The diploma is a curled piece of cardstock. Stamp is from an old graduation set.
Thanks for looking. Please leave a comment if you liked the card.
