For Jen's Waving to the Ocean State challenge.
I'd have quite liked to use violets, but I love this stamp - and it includes French Onion soup, which is very comforting and I want to make a big pot and have some myself.
Image stamped with Versafine black and coloured with pencils, sky and foreground sponged. I edged it with Stickles and added it to some DP. Added photo corners with white stitching lines, and a feather which is more like something that might come from a Rhode Island Red.

Now you've got me wanting some onion soup (I had some last week..yummy)...love the look of the script with this royal looking rooster. The dark bg paper framing this also caught my eye..it's perfect!

The feather made me chuckle because I was thinking he got plucked for the soup...LOL. I agree with Polly that the script and rooster are very regal. It's a beautiful stamp. And I bet the recipe will make Judy hunger for some soup too. Beautiful card.

Great image and so pretty! Super background and framing too.
I haven't had some good french onion soup in a long time - I want some too. Great idea!
