Inspired by Layersofink (Anna-Karin's) mixed media canvas HERE.
Not the best picture - we're nearing the shortest day of the year and there was a LOT of drying required.
Background is wrinkle free distress. Then I stamped the trees with Versafine Olympia Green.
The stencil comes with a deer mask and a negative. I used the negative and stencilled him in paste, then in white paint to dull the tree underneath, then in paste again so that I could paint over it. He's painted with Winsor and Newton watercolours. The snow is Aleene's Glitter snow, sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels. I added two cardinals in the tree and a copper star that was on my desk, along with some dots of Stickles for stars. If I'd had any large sheets of black card left I'd have made this 6 - 6 1/2" square and added the panel to a black base, but I'm out of it. So I just edged it with Stickles instead. Sentiment cut from silver glitter card. I'll try for a better photo tomorrow.

Love your exuberant deer dashing through the snow! Love the shimmer and shine your card has. So pretty! Reminds me that I have some Cosmic Shimmer somewhere ...hmmmm.

Well I'm a sucker for purple in the sky so naturally I adore this. Loving all the texture you achieved and marvel at your patience to paste that deer several times so you could paint him. It turned out beautifully. And I especially love that you tucked those two cardinals into your card. Love that pop of red. Wonderful CASE and a beautiful card.
