I've kicked my brain out of Christmas gear with this card for Cathy's Song-Inspired WTUI challenge. DH has been temporarily seconded back to his old department, and learned yesterday that one of the exam secretaries he was dealing with is retiring.
I have only small scraps of my much-loved Basic Grey Mellow sky paper left - on looking at it and seeing that it almost has a screen-print look, it inspired me to pull out the Gradation backgrounder. I sponged the card with tumbled glass distress and stamped it with tumbled glass DOX. Stamped the balloon on it and embossed with clear EP. Stamped it again on white card, coloured with pencil, cut out and popped up on foam. I die-cut and embossed an aperture in the front of the card - the sky panel is stuck to the inside. Stamped the sentiment, added detailing with a white gel pen and it's gone in the mail today.

Love all the dots on the card. I thought the dots were part of the sentiment stamp til I read your write-up. Brilliant to add the white dots to tie it into the background. Great framing on that beautiful background. Cool balloon stamp too. Another fun and cheerful creation.
