My favorite Christmas hymn is There's a Song in the Air published in 1872 by Josiah Hollard.
Here is the first verse:
There's a song in the air! There's a star in the sky!
There's a mother's deep prayer and a Baby's low cry!
And the star rains its fire while the beautiful sing,
For the manger of Bethlehem cradles a King!

That is one I have heard but am not very familiar with. The ones I know best are the ones from the book we always used for our carol singing on Christmas Eve at home, and ones we learnt in school. All that gold is beautiful against the deep blue, and it's a lovely nativity scene too.
