Okay so, I started with a sheet of Mixed media paper painted with plain gesso, stamped off the SU sheet music in blue and the holly in green and then I did the stenciling with the glitter paste. ( so out of order from the tutorial found here) then the inka gold then the gesso with pale green paint. and I really did not care much for this so, I wiped the gesso off the gold glittery Merry Christmas words and let it sit, and then I came back later and re-gessoed it with gesso/pale blue paint. more inka gold. and I told my self I had to walk away before I put holes in the paper. So, I had this sheet when I woke up this morning and I liked how it dried enough and I added these previously watercolored diecuts to this with lots of glue dots as liquid glue just had it fall off. seeing that I decided to use a sticker and a printed sentiment for greetings. I have a few painted sheets to try this some more as I have more ideas of what not do to next time around maybe different colors. Sabrina, thank you for this nudge, I enjoyed this a great deal. tfl

Stacy, they are beautiful. The backgrounds make me think of mediaeval parchments. I like the impact of the white on black sentiment. And the holly springs look lovely. I'm glad you had fun and hope you will try again now you have revitalised some of the supplies.
I've never had problems with wet glues sticking....but I feel I probably put a book or a couple of acrylic blocks on it while drying to help the bond.

These turned out great, Stacy - I like the soft ivory look with the gold rubbed here and there. I really like the looks of your subtle peek-a-boo music score (music was one of the thing I had thought to put in my bg but it didn't quite make it to paper.) An overall soft & lovely bg to display those holly sprigs on.
