Barbara is hosting our challenge this week with a clever little combination calling for Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie and Silver with a snowman for dessert. Well, the only snowman in my little studio right now is an image that is about 3/4" high whose little carrot nose was only about 1/16". That wouldn't be much orange so I opted to skip dessert and look for something else that would call for Pumpkin Pie.
It didn't take long to settle on this new butterfly set that is designed particularly for doing the floating frame technique. Now, my card isn't technically floating frame because I think they are supposed to used with dimensionals. Since this is already much further from my more CAS style I decided I would be happy with a frame that doesn't float. I wasn't sure where to add silver but then I decided to sponge/emboss the inner cut out rectangle. This made the curves in the corners more visible. I tried a few different greetings deciding to go with this Word Wishes die cut and that got some silver treatment too!
My pack of blue gems has two tones of blue. The darker gems tend toward Bermuda with a coppery-orange hint so I couldn't resist adding them too.
I imagine most of you have some cute snowmen hanging around so I'm looking forward to seeing more dessert when I'm back checking out the gallery. Have fun with this one folks!

Love the butterflies Chris! You're right these are perfect colors for butterflies so a great choice when skipping dessert. Great layout and I really like how you embossed just a portion of "happy".

Chris, it looks like you and I were in the same boat on not having a snowman image. Your option of going with the butterflies is perfect for using the Pumpkin Pie. Great inspiration for using the new bundle, now I need to order it! TFS
