I have never created a card like this - way outside my comfort zone, but really enjoyed it. Brushed gesso onto die cut watercolor paper. Let dry. Stamped red and black flourishes and sponged on a little red, blue and green distress ink. Put down another layer of gesso, which lightened the sponging. Let dry. Stenciled a portion of a clock with glossy paste. Let dry. Sponged grey distress over the clock so it would show up better, then wiped clean. Punched dots. Die cut butterfly and sentiment. Assembled the pieces onto grey base. Covered dots with Diamond glaze.

This turned out really nice Priscilla. Sponging the grey around your texture paste really helped make the clock face pop and the flourishes and curved stems of flowers add alot of interest in the bg. You should be really proud of this outcome.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Priscilla. It's one of those techniques I didn't expect to enjoy (I like instant gratification because I don't often have a lot of spare time) but it became a staple in my repertoire. The clock is amazing, it looks almost translucent, and the way the cornflower-like flower just curls out of it looks brilliant.

The black glossy dots and butterfly pop but it is the intricacy of the background layers that keep the eye entertained and soothed. Very pleasing composition.
