This is #22 of approximately 50 hand-stitched cards I created in an 18-month period, giving 44 of these in a large set to my Mom, who is a very talented cross-stitcher. This is another card that was not part of the set to my Mom. This card was sent with a gift to the mother of my dear friend, Daphne, named Sarah, who is much-beloved in our family. She and her husband and their 3 children came to NB from the southern US so that her husband could be our pastor. How this family is cherished, appreciated, and are much beloved to our family and to so many more!!!
I sent this card along with a small gift card and a letter to try and express my appreciation to Sarah for all that she and her family have done for our family. One giant gift, is that through this family, my maternal grandmother came to Christ, and it is through this heritage plus the Christian heritage on my Dad's side that we have been raised to see the extreme importance of coming to Christ to become a child of God. That is a priceless gift!!! My grandmother, who was a best friend to me was a very devoted child of God, and because of this family and their dedication to serve their Lord that I will in God's perfect timing be reunited with my beloved Mimi, and as well my 3 other grandparents who are now all in heaven.
I have included this view so that you have a close-up view of the hand-stitching of this card, I hope that it is helpful. And so that you can see the depth of the Gina K Designs "thankful" die, which I think is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you for taking a closer look at my card. If you leave a comment on one of my cards or on another artist's card, please know that you are providing encouragement. It is because I have realized how important it is to encourage fellow artists, that I have made it a goal to leave comments when I am on the Splitcoaststampers gallery.
Please stay safe and be well during this very unusual time. It's a GREAT time to get into our crafting, as it's a safe and fun activity, and it's one that can provide support and encouragement when we send cards to others.
