For Sabrina's Layered Gesso Background, I've chosen to keep it in shades of blue, I've covered my paper with gessso and let it dry, stamped the script and flowers with versafine, lagoon blue and majestic blue and let this dry ( a tip to speed up the drying time I've covered the ink with a bit of flour and left it a couple of minutes and blew it off) then took acrylic blue paint and diluted with a bit of water to make it as light as possible, then added a second layer of gesso but diluted with water, I've got this blue acrylic mousse and don't use it often but on this card of blues it works perfectly with a stencil, then added some dots with another stencil with white paste, stamped the sentiment with majestic blue, added white chalk paint splatters and a bit of blue shimmer powder, mounted the 3d image and added buttons and twine.
This was fun to do and will surely use it again in the future.

Ot and Sien? Names of the children? Guess I could try googling that. Adorable image of them. Your blue background is luscious and frames them beautifully.

Lovely vintage background for your sweet image with the layering and stamping and stencilling. The blue mousse looks super. I like the two different colours of stencilling. I'm glad you have it a try - I think it's a great technique.
