The Mix challenge this week is to use some "garbage" on your creation - lol.
Lydia's example is so pretty - I am going to have to buy some La Croix so I can get some pretty box material like that. Love the voice over video too!
I had the disclosure announcing the 401K plan changes on my counter so I cut out a picture of gears and used gesso to glue it down. I also tore a bit out from the printed pages and affixed them too. Then I put on a coat of texture paste through a Stamperia pipes stencil.
I added some touches of gold paint once dry since the verse I focused on was Lamentations 4:1 which speaks about the tarnished gold from the temple. I read several commentaries on this and my favorite view was how the look of the gold in the temple may be tarnished but the properties remain unchanged - our hearts and relationship with Christ are the temple and we have the chance to renew it if we focus on God and get things straight, and then it can be beautiful again.
Also for the **Art*Journal*Journey* challenge theme of the "the Meaning of."

You come up with the neatest ideas, and how I LOVE the analogy of tarnished metal and the treasure of being right with God, and how that tarnish can be removed and that it's the shiny gleam of that metal again... THANK YOU for that great lesson and the wonderful encouragement!!! This needed to be favorited, and I wish that I could list this as one of my favorites of the week, just wanted you to know, as this thread has been on hiatus of course for several months due to technical difficulties.
And THANK YOU for leaving all of those comments on some of my hand-stitched cards that I recently uploaded. I admire your artwork so much, so to receive those comments from you means even more to me. Know that you have uplifted and encouraged me a great deal!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
