Shirley's challenge today was perfectly timed. I wanted one more personalised Christmas card. I opened the drawer that has some wooden Christmas stamps in it - some golden oldies and this Penny Black one was the first I spotted and it is perfect as the card is going to a couple and their 3 Springer Spaniels who we follow on Facebook. The guy had a life changing accident and Max his older Springer was the motivation for him to go on with his life - he didn't own him at the time but saw him when sent out by his wife for milk. Max out in the Lakes inspired a previous Watercolour Wednesday card. I tried to colour the dogs to look a bit like Springers but they really aren't the right shape! The 3 stockings are in orange, teal and red to go with Max, Paddy and Harry's collar colours. Paddy has just become a daddy to 3 pups so maybe those are the others in my picture.

So precious! I love the angled image; it adds "movement."
And the hearts holding the stockings is perfect with your sentiment.
Thanks for sharing the story behind this special card!

The story behind this card is very touching and the card is very sweet! The sponging of the sky and the little shadows for snow make a great scene around the pups!

Super card and a reminder of how your life can change in an instant. I have this stamp and love it too. Beautifully done sky and snow! Love how you customized your card!

They will love it. They will recognize the colors right away. The pups are very cute and your coloring is right...so they look a little Christmas treat plump lol.
